Kapanlagi.com - Brian McFadden baru-baru ini telah mengumumkan rencananya untuk merilis sebuah album solo baru. Mantan personil Westlife ini akan kembali dengan album THE IRISH CONNECTION pada 11 Maret di bawah label BMF Records/EMI. Album ini akan berisi remake dari berbagai lagu Irlandia terfavorit. Akan ada pula lagu duet bersama Ronan Keating dan Sinead O'Connor.

"Album ini adalah sesuatu yang ingin kulakukan sejak lama. Irlandia telah memproduksi beberapa lagu terbaik sepanjang masa dan aku telah memutuskan untuk membuat versiku sendiri dari lagu-lagu ini," ungkap McFadden.

Kapanlagi.com - Tahun 2012 lalu, Shane Filan telah mengumumkan bahwa dirinya bangkrut. Harta benda pentolan Westlife itu sudah ludes, kecuali satu barang. Benda apa itu? Setelah semua hartanya disita, untungnya dia masih punya kesempatan menyimpan satu benda berharga. Barang itu tak lain adalah cincin pernikahannya dengan Gillian.

Cincin berlian itu bernilai £ 31,958 (lebih dari Rp 500 juta). Tentunya, cincin 31,41 karat tersebut menjadi satu-satunya harapan yang dimiliki Shane bersama sang istri.
Namun demikian, kondisi Shane saat ini memang sangat ironis. Di masa kejayaan Westlife, dia adalah salah satu pria terkaya dengan penghasilan mencapai ratusan ribu poundsterling setiap tahun.
Kebangkrutan Shane diumumkan pada bulan Juni 2012, tak lama setelah Westlife bubar. Sebelumnya, dia memang telah mengalami krisis ekonomi yang membuatnya terpaksa menjual berbagai aset. (dym/ris)

Kapanlagi.com - Salah satu mantan personel Westlife ini mengingatkan rekan seprofesinya Justin Bieber untuk tak lupa beristirahat. Baginya meluangkan waktu sejenak untuk istirahat disela-sela kesibukan sangatlah penting. Ia tak ingin Justin Bieber atau artis muda lainnya yang kini berada di puncak karir terlalu asyik bekerja hingga melupakan atau menganggap sepele waktu beristirahat.
"Saya hanya mengingatkan Justin Bieber dan artis lainnya seperti One Direction yang sedang berada di atas popularitas agar tetap meluangkan waktu untuk beristirahat. Karena kurangnya istirahat dapat berakibat buruk bagi kesehatan," Jelas Brian ketika dimintai keterangan oleh Entertainmentwise.com.
Pria ganteng ini juga mengatakan jika dirinya pernah mengalami gangguan kesehatan. Hal ini tak lain disebabkan karena kurangnya istirahat. Akibatnya    personel lain di dalam grupnya juga ikut terganggu.
"Manfaatkanlah waktu untuk beristirahat, di tengah kepadatan jadwal yang gila-gilaan. Jangan menganggap sepele waktu istirahat.  Karena ketika tubuh tidak sehat maka akan mengganggu kenyamanan kalian saat performs di atas panggung. Namun terlepas dari itu semua saya secara pribadi sangat mengapresiasi karya mereka," pungkas Brian dalam Entertaimenttwise.com. (cmc/kis)

Westlife - Westlife To Split In 2012

Westlife have announced today (19.10.11) they will split up ''amicably'' next year following a greatest hits album and a farewell tour.

The Irish foursome - who are made up of Nicky Byrne, Kian Egan, Mark Feehily and Shane Filan - have announced they will part ways "amicably" in 2012 following a greatest hits album and a farewell tour next year.
A statement released today (19.10.11) by the boy band read: "After 14 years, 26 top ten hits including 14 number one singles, 11 top 5 albums, seven of which hit the top spot and have collectively sold over 44 million copies around the world, 10 sell-out tours and countless memories that we will forever cherish, we today announce our plan to go our separate ways after a greatest hits collection this Christmas and a farewell tour next year.
"The decision is entirely amicable and after spending all of our adult life together so far, we want to have a well-earned break and look at new ventures. We see the greatest hits collection and the farewell tour as the perfect way to celebrate our incredible career along with our fans. We are really looking forward to getting out on the tour and seeing our fans one last time."
Westlife - who had a total of 14 number one hit singles, including 'Swear it Again' and 'Flying Without Wings' - thanked their fans for supporting them over the years and revealed their time together has been a "dream come true".
The statement added: "Over the years Westlife has become so much more to us than just a band. Westlife are a family. We would like to thank our fans who have been with us on this amazing journey and are part of our family too.
"We never imagined when we started out in 1998 that 14 years later we would still be recording, touring and having hits together. It has been a dream come true for all of us."
The band launched as a five-piece in 1998 but Irish singer Brian McFadden quit the group in 2004 to spend more time with his family and work on solo projects.
Their 'Greatest Hits' album is set to be released on November 21st following the release of their latest single 'Lighthouse' on November 13th.
